I have over 12 years of experience providing clinical services to children, individuals, and families. I hold a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology, and am certified and registered member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I work from a client-centered approach; I would describe my clinical style to be one that combines genuine warmth and guidance toward effective and lasting solutions. I believe that the relationship between a counsellor and a client is deeply personal and collaborative so finding the ‘right-fit’ is pivotal to successful therapy.
I practice with a variety of clinical skills to support extensive variety of client issues; however, I am passionate in supporting my clients in areas of stress, grief, anxiety and depression including maternal health. I use techniques from various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT). I believe in resilience and the ability to heal from trauma that we have experienced and I use a treatment approach called Brainspotting (BSP) to assist clients to heal from past traumas.
Aside from work, I am a mother of three little humans who always keep me on my toes! Things that I love is good coffee, anything leopard print, family, sunshine, binge watching TV on Netlfix, reading, photography, and traveling.
