In order to protect our service providers as well as other clients who are accessing services in our space, we ask that if you are feeling ill or have symptoms of illness, particularly those of COVID-19 or other potentially serious and contagious diseases, you contact your service provider as soon as you are able to change your appointment. This can be to either move the appointment from in-person to virtual (phone or video) or to reschedule the appointment entirely. Please note that late cancellation fees are waived in instances of cancellation due to illness (see Cancellation Policy below).
All service providers require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations, otherwise the full fee for the session is charged as a late cancellation. Exceptions to this late cancellation fee include illness, emergency, or inclement weather. In some cases, the session can still be had if it is moved to a virtual appointment, such as in the case of inclement weather or mild/suspected illness. Please contact your provider directly if you have questions or need to cancel/reschedule your appointment.
We recognize that there may be benefits to recording your appointments. This could be for your benefit as a client, such as for remembering content, or for the benefit of your provider, such as in instances where they are in training. Regardless of the purpose, recording through either audio or video means is not permitted without the express written permission of everyone involved in the session. Recording is strictly forbidden without that consent and may result in termination of services.
As health and mental health professionals, we are cautious about how we conduct ourselves on the internet.
We have a Facebook and Instagram account where we share information about issues, events, quotes, and questions. Everyone is welcome to follow our Facebook and Instagram accounts and engage with the content. We ask that it be done in a respectful manner or we will remove people from the page. We post a blog occasionally on our website and share to our social pages and invite you to check it out under the same premises as our social media pages.
Many of us have personal social media accounts (twitter, FB, IG, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, SnapChat, etc.). However, we will not friend people that we do not know nor will we friend people who are current or former clients. This is to maintain the boundaries that are necessary in the professional relationships that we build so carefully with clients and patients.
Email and texting will be used on a limited basis. These forms of communication will not be used to conduct therapy, health assessments or treatment. These forms of communication are not guaranteed as confidential and will therefore only be used for arranging or modifying appointments.
