I completed an Honors Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Sexuality, Marriage, and the Family at the University of Waterloo in 1992 and went on to complete my Bachelor of Education in 1993 at Western University. For the past 25 years I have been an elementary school teacher, during which time I completed a certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation, before returning to formal studies in 2019 as a student in the Yorkville University Master of Counselling Psychology program. As of April 2021, I have completed my course work and I am looking forward to my time at Journey Well Counselling as a psychotherapy intern.
As a member of the counselling team at Journey Well, my hope is to provide thoughtful support, travelling together with you, as you navigate your journey. Everyone has life experiences that can be challenging, whether connected to conflict, loss, stress, life transitions or traumatic events. Psychotherapy can help to address challenges that impact our daily functioning including our moods and relationships. As an emerging counsellor, I look forward to supporting you on the pathway to healing.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy reading, travelling, walking my dog Bentley, and working in both my vegetable and flower gardens.
